Collaboration : “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”

What an incredible afternoon we had on Friday, 6th October at our Alex’s Wish Annual Autumn Lunch at The Novotel Hotel in Leicester. They say it takes a village to bring up a child, well it takes every one of amazing supporters to help us conquer Duchenne. It was a fun-filled, informative, celebratory afternoon thanking our much-valued and much-loved supporters for the amazing work they do to help all boys living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The event started with a fabulous icebreaker with Alex Slack getting everyone connected in the room, thanks Alex for being our fabulous compare too!

We want to say a huge thank you to Janine Edwards Wealth Management our main event sponsors for making this event possible, as well as Spirit Healthcare & Light-up Creative, it was great to have Connall Pugh there, representing Janine Edwards Wealth Management, give a talk on the day.

A huge thank you to Saffron Hart and Charlotte Clemie from Miss Great Britain for giving a great talk about our partnership, the benefits of collaboration, how their values of positivity, support, encouragement and inclusivity is so aligned to ours. Thank you to Emily & Amy from Duchenne UK for updating us on why our work is so important, updating on how far we have come, but helping us to understand where we still need to get to and we need to keep striding onwards together.
