The workshop was designed to understand the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) process in England, and to give an overview of health economics and the process of new drug approval and how the Duchenne community can come together to bring new drugs to market as quickly as possible....

Trio of cycling events raises £50,769.00

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our trio of cycling events this year has raised a staggering £50,769.00.  Our trio of cycling events includes of Charnwood Forest Cycle Ride which took place in May this year raising £10,797.00, our epic London to Paris Cycle Ride event held in July raising £26,321.00 and our team of riders at this year’s Prudential Ride London raising £13,651.00....

London to Paris Cycle Ride raises £25,000

Alex’s Wish organised a London to Paris Cycle Ride over a 3 day period from 1-3th July this year.  With 11 cyclists taking part in the event the charity has raised a staggering £25,000 and money is still coming in....

A week full of mixed emotions

What a week it has been! The emotions I’ve felt this week has been unbelievable. Alex took part in a film on Monday, I can’t tell you anything now but what I can say is that he was incredible and everyone on set fell in love with him....

Charities announce £1.2m investment into key clinical posts

Alex’s Wish and seven other patient organisations, who are working to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, are funding a total of 16 clinical posts at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, The John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre at Newcastle University and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, to help support clinical trial development for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy....
