Alex’s Wish seeks part-time paid admin assistant

Would you like a rewarding part-time paid admin role? Well, how about working  for a local  organisation that’s really making a difference to people’s lives.

Leicestershire charity Alex’s Wish is looking for someone with proven administrative skills to work with its friendly team for six hours a week.

Reporting to our fundraising and event manager, Zoe Edwards, you will provide admin support to our fundraisers, freeing them to focus all their time on raising money and organising our  popular events.

Alex’s Wish – now in its 10th year – is dedicated to finding new treatments and ultimately a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which affects one in every 3,500 boys. Founded by Emma Hallam,  the charity is named after her teenage son, Alex, who lives with Duchenne.

The right person will have proven experience as an office admin or virtual admin assistant, with excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.

As part of Alex’s Wish, you must also have empathy and be willing to learn more about Duchenne and its impact on families.

The  role includes providing admin support to our business club,  managing and processing our gift aid claims to HMRC, monitoring and reporting sponsorship online and offline and managing our board meeting appointments. Other duties include assisting with promotional item stock control, raising invoices and maintaining and reporting social media statistics.

Although the job is based in our Mountsorrel office, you will have the opportunity to work from home from time to time with prior agreement.

If supporting us in this varied, interesting role sounds just what you’re looking for, then please get in touch.

Job applications close 28th February
