Welcome 2015… January is a new fresh start!January 4, 2015 8:15 pm
If you’re looking for a new challenge, why not join us and be an Alex’s Wish warrior!
You’ll be taking on an exciting and fulfilling challenge and meeting your own personal goals whilst fundraising for a cause that will help the lives of thousands of children and young adults.
With lots of exciting things to do… our amazing Sky Dive challenge, London to Paris cycle ride (270 miles over 3 days).. our 20-mile Charnwood Forest Cycle Ride, the Prudential Ride London, The Vitality British 10k run in London are just some of our events taking place this year. We’d love to have you on board to help our mission – to end Duchenne for all!!
As parents to Alex, we’re both taking part, I (Alex’s mummy) will be taking to the skies in March falling 13,000 feet from a plane (eeckkk… wish me luck) and then training hard to complete the 100-mile Prudential Ride London in August whilst Andy (Alex’s daddy) will be running a gruelling 26 miles in this year’s London Marathon all to help raise as much money as we can for our cause.
As other year starts we remain hopeful that this year might be the year we find a cure for Alex, he’ll be 9 this year and time is ticking by. We’ve seen some deterioration already so halting any further progression is an absolute must but for this we really do desperately need new treatments. So much has been done but we’re a long way off and any further money we raise is sure to help make that difference. By supporting our cause in anyway you can will help bring us that one step closer to a new drug. So what are you waiting for let’s get you signed up so you can start looking forward to new and exciting things ahead.
We’ll be with you every step of the way giving help and guidance on fundraising and provide training plans and all the tools you need to make your challenge as rewarding and successful as possible. You won’t be on your own. By taking part, you’re sure to meet new people and gain new experiences whilst helping support others.
