Verona and Team Tortoise take on the London 10K

The Vitality London 10K took place this weekend on the closed roads of central London.  Alex’s Wish was represented by Verona Frankish and Team Tortoise who consisted of Lyndsey Wright, Bill South and Cyril Bekoe.

Verona had only started running last year to raise money for Epilepsy after she lost her brother to the condition aged 30.   We are so honoured that Verona decided to run the London 10K for Alex’s Wish and raised over £500 and achieved two personal bests at 5k and 10k – brilliant achievement!

Team Tortoise, consisting of Lyndsey, a massive supporter of our charity and her colleagues from William Hill Bill and Cyril managed to complete the event and raised over £600, with potentially more to come with fund matching from William Hill.  Huge success from Team Tortoise!

If you would like to support us by raising funds to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy please get in touch to join one of our events or may be do your own!
