Leicester Speedway mascots Dan and Joe Thompson are helping raise vital funds for Alex’s Wish.  Dan and Joe are mascots for the Leicester Lions speedway, who has taken on Alex’s Wish as their chosen charity in 2016. The twins are urging fans to sponsor them in each of the eight rounds of the British Speedway Youth Championship and the British 12cc final at Peterborough.

All proceeds will go to Alex’s Wish to help find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

The Thompson twins said:

“We will be trying to score as many points as possible to raise money and it will inspire us to do well.  We have made a new friend in Alex and we hope speedway fans will support us.”

Emma Hallam, Founder of Alex’s Wish said:

“Dan and Joe came over to visit Alex and myself and were so lovely.  They presented him with a riding bid from last year’s season for him to put up in his room and chocolates for both him and his sister Isla. They were an absolute pleasure to meet and we are really looking forward to seeing them in action.”

To support the twins, twins dad Darren Thompson will be at the main entrance on match days at the Beaumont Park speedway stadium.
