Queniborough Primary School are fundraising for Alex’s Wish this year and at the beginning of June they decided to take on a challenge as part of their Sports Week – Miles for Muscles.

Every day during Sport’s Week each class at Queniborough Primary School ran ‘Miles for Muscles’ on the school running track to raise money and celebrate Sports Week. The class that raised the most money won an ice-cream to have in school.

The headteacher Mrs Hallam said:

“The children really enjoyed taking part in Miles for Muscles. It was a great opportunity for children to be physically active, promote their wellbeing and raise money for this year’s chosen school charity. We raised an amazing sum of money that we know will be put to good use for Alex’s Wish.”

Emma Hallam, Founder of Alex’s Wish said “We were thrilled when Queniborough told us about their plans.  They all did so well to achieve their goal and raising a huge £1,028.75 for Alex’s Wish too. Thank you to everyone that took part and for all the hard work both running and fundraising!”
