Stephen George + Partners, one of the UK’s leading architectural practices, has become a corporate sponsor and supporter of local charity Alex’s Wish.

Alex’s Wish is based in Leicestershire and is part of a network of charities, foundations and scientists all dedicated to finding treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life limiting disease affecting mainly boys for which there is currently no cure and very few treatments.

Speaking about the agreement, Emma Hallam founder and Director of Alex’s Wish said, “This news is so exciting.  Stephen George + Partners are joining our fantastic corporate sponsors and supporters which include SHB Solicitors, Regional Recruitment Services and Fashion UK amongst many others.  Each one of our corporate sponsors is vitally important and to be joined by Stephen George + Partners has quite literally made my year!

“Stephen George + Partners has agreed to support us for two years and have set a target to raise £10,000 per year for Alex’s Wish across their offices.”

Stephen George + Partners has offices in London, Leicester, Leeds, Birmingham and Solihull.

Mark Smith, a Director of Stephen George + Partners, said, “We are extremely proud to become a corporate sponsor for Alex’s Wish over the next two years.  As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments, as a business, we wanted to support a local charity with a big agenda and an absolute desire to achieve results on the ground.  Forming a close relationship over the coming two years, we hope to make a valuable contribution to the ongoing research and development of treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

“Our plans for how we will raise £10,000 a year are taking shape at the moment and there will be some very exciting news coming shortly, involving a huge UK-wide challenge and a lot of running in 2018!”
