Newman Gauge Design, a company who specialises in commercial interior design for the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors joined forces with The Little Britain Pub Company to hold a charity golf day to raise vital funds for Alex’s Wish.

Celebrating twenty years in business and the completion of two pub refurbishments for The Little Britain Pub Company in Rothley and more recently The Crown in Dalby, Newman Guage wanted to collaborate with the independent pub operators to give something back to the local community and called upon their contacts in the pub and leisure sector to raise money for Alex’s Wish.

“The idea to raise money for Alex’s Wish, like all great ideas came up in the pub over a pint with Mike and Ben at The Blue Bell Inn” explains Brian Gauge, Director at Newman Gauge. Having worked together on two projects, they wanted to celebrate their achievements and put their efforts to a good cause and as they were in Rothley they chose Alex’s Wish.

The Charity Golf Day was held at Longcliffe Golf Club, Loughborough on Thursday 10th September, followed by a dinner and cheque presentation evening at The Blue Bell raising £3,724.00.

We would like to thank Newman Gauge and The Little Britain Company for choosing Alex’s Wish and for raising so much money for our cause we are incredibly grateful. All the money raised will help fund vital research and clinical trials to bring about new treatments for all children like Alex living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. A special thanks goes to all those that organised the day – we know how much effort goes in to organising an event like this – and particularly such a successful one and to everyone who attended and took part in the raffle and auction.  Alex’s Wish could not run without supporters like these. #Wishwarriors #Fightingduchenne
